Langlois & Co is a P&I correspondent and maritime claims handling company with a long established history and reputation. Our head office is situated in Antwerp, one of the largest European ports with over 16,000 ships calling every year. Our second office in Ghent is geographically ideally located to offer services in the other Belgian ports of Ghent, Ostend and Zeebrugge, which are all within the jurisdiction of the Ghent Court of Appeal. The Ghent office is also servicing the ports of Flushing and Terneuzen. The latter port is at the mouth of the Ghent/Terneuzen Canal whereas the former is readily accessible from Ghent via a tunnel under the River Scheldt.

1. To ensure that Insurers and their insured interests are protected in full through the appointment of qualified surveyors/experts and lawyers where necessary, monitored and controlled by a team of experienced claims handlers, who provide added value.

2. To ensure that the service provided by surveyors/experts and lawyers meets the client's highest standards at a market related cost.

3. Providing our clients with expert advice on the merits of any claim so that they may make reasoned and appropriate decisions as to
the further handling.

4. When required, to negotiate and settle claims in a strict, fair and cost effective manner.

5. To keep our clients advised of developments in Belgium which may affect their operations.

6. To provide a 24-hour service 365 days a year assistance to our clients, in resolving any difficulties and/or problems that may be
encountered with respect to either an insured vessel, or problems of a general nature.
