Paul Goossens
Paul graduated in Law and European Law from the University of Louvain and in Maritime Law from the University of Brussels. After a brief stint working for a Maritime Agency he was called up to undertake his compulsory military service with the armed forces in Germany. On completion of his National Service Paul joined Langlois & Co in April 1975 and has since occupied various positions in Branch offices in Brussels, Ghent and Paris. Currently Managing Director and also Director of the company based in the Antwerp Head Office, Paul specialises in cargo, CMR, FD&D and Hull matters. Paul is a member of the Belgian Maritime Law Association.
Paul Dierkens
Paul graduated in Law from the University of Ghent and in Maritime Law from the University of Antwerp. After gaining a number of years experience for an Antwerp based cargo and hull insurer, Paul joined Langlois & Co in 1984. Paul based in the Ghent office handles P&I, FD&D and Hull matters.
Frank Morel

After having graduated in Shipping and Chartering and forwarding Frank joined a medium sized Ship Owner/Charterer in their claims and insurance department. After many years of experience in the handling of cargo claims arising out of their trades to the Middle East and USA, Frank was promoted in 1987 to Claims & Insurance Manager. In this position Frank gained a vast amount of experience not only on the group’s general insurance requirements but also more specifically on all P&I and FD&D related problems, of vessels not only in their regular liner services but also on their owned and chartered tonnage on their tramp services. After relocation of the company to a more favourable tax regime, Frank joined Langlois & Co in 1991. Frank deals mainly with cargo related matters, but also with charter party and other contract disputes. He is further specialising in Customs disputes.
Kurt Van Coppenolle
Kurt graduated in Law from the University of Ghent in 2002 and in Maritime Sciences from the Universities of Ghent and Antwerp in 2003. After two years of agency work with a global container carrier in Antwerp, he joined Langlois & Co as a claims handler in 2005. Kurt assists the Antwerp office in all P&I matters and is further specialising in CMR and Admiralty claims: inter alia damage to fixed and floating objects, oil pollution, stowaways, crew deserters, crew illness, injury to crewmembers.
Elisabeth Sijmons
Elisabeth graduated in Law from the university of Ghent in 2007 and in Maritime Sciences from the University of Ghent and Antwerp in 2008. She did her thesis on the liability of the Shipowner in the event of an oil pollution. After graduating she immediately joined Langlois and Co. as a claims handler in August 2008. Elisabeth assists the Ghent office in all P&I matters after having spent 6 months in our Antwerp office.
